Incident Summary:
12/22/2005: In the second of two similar incidents (cf. 200512120001), a bomb exploded outside of Greece’s Ministry of Development building in Athens. An anonymous tip-off to a newspaper occurred 30 minutes before the bomb went off. Greece’s Finance Ministry was also attacked with a bomb on December 12, 2005, an incident for which the group Revolutionary Struggle claimed responsibility.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
There must be evidence of an intention to coerce, intimidate, or convey some other message to a larger audience (or audiences) than the immediate victims.
