12/01/2005: A suicide bomber suspected of being a member of the Islamic group Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) detonated a bomb in front of a government office and courthouse during a protest rally lead by lawyers in Gazipur, Bangladesh killing two people and injuring 30 others. The incident was related to two similar attacks on the nation’s judiciary on November 30, 2005.

Additional Information The sources describe this event as a continuation of attacks on Bangladesh's judiciary from two days prior. The lawyers were gathered at this government building in fact to protest the attacks and were themselves victims. The suspect, Adbur Razzak, reportedly had pamphlets from the Islamic group Jumatul Mujahideen Bangladesh on his person. The suspect exploded his bomb when police stopped him for checking.
