Incident Summary:

11/19/2005: A bomb planted inside a garbage can killed one person and injured 12 others at the Tatilya fairground in Istanbul, Turkey. The bomb contained plastic explosives and was detonated via mobile phone. Although no group claimed responsibility, government officials believed that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) was behind the attack.
