10/23/2005: Unidentified perpetrators threw a bomb at the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in Khulna City, Mijanur Rahman, killing him. Local authorities suspected that Maoists belonging to the outlawed Purbobanglar Communist Party were responsible for the attack.
