Incident Summary:

10/16/2005: Sri Lankan Army and police discovered and defused a C-4 type explosive outside of a Buddhist temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The bomb was contained in a tin can and was believed to have been abandoned where it was found. The bomb, if detonated inside of a building, would have caused considerable damage. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam are believed to be involved.
