10/16/2005: Approximately 20 suspected Islamic militants attacked the Phrom Prasit Temple, killing a Buddhist monk in Thailand’s Pattani Province. Two other people were killed in the assault before the perpetrators set the temple on fire. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
