Incident Summary:

06/15/2005: Assistant village headman Matohae Batuseng was shot and killed in Bacho (District), Narathiwat Province, Thailand, by an unidentified man driving by on a motorcycle. Batuseng was walking along the road to his rubber plantation near Lubo Sawo village when the attack occurred. While Islamic militants were suspected in the attack, it is also possible that the attack was an act of organized crime.
