Incident Summary:

05/13/2005: A group of Sunni Muslims attacked Shi i Muslims when they tried to enter a mosque in Sokoto, Nigeria. The perpetrators attacked with stones and machetes which led to clashes between the two groups lasting through the next day. Two people were killed and 35 others were injured in the fighting. Several houses, shops and a Shi i seminary were looted and burned as well.
