Incident Summary:

1/22/2005: Members of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Fighting (GSPC) set up a fake roadblock on Wilaya Road 19 near Draa El Mizan, Algeria. The assailants shook down Algerian citizens on a public bus and slit the throat of an individual who was identified as an Algerian soldier. The Islamic extremists also set fire to a vehicle belonging to a state-owned company.
