Incident Summary:

01/08/2005: A suicide bomber detonated a car bomb while at a fuel station near an Iraqi security checkpoint in Al-Mahawil, Iraq. Iraqi Army and police jointly manned the checkpoint that was believed to have been the suicide bomber’s target. The bomb killed four civilians and injured 19 others. At least three cars were destroyed in the explosion as well. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
