Incident Summary:

01/08/2005: Three people were killed and three others were wounded in an attack in Gatumba, Burundi. The attack occurred during a Forces for the Defense of Democracy (FDD) and Burundi Armed Forces (FAB) joint patrol. Two FDD soldiers and a civilian died in the attack. Although no group claimed responsibility for the attack, a Gatumba chief attributed the incident to elements of the FAB.
