11/01/2004: Islamic militants killed and beheaded Jaran Torae, a 58 year old Buddhist assistant village leader, in the Sukhirin district of Thailand. A handwritten letter was attached to Torae's body and stated that the murder was committed to aveng the deaths of 85 Muslim rioters at the hands of Thai police the week before.
