Incident Summary:

08/21/2004: Several groups of gunmen attacked police targets in Grozny, Chechnya -- the military commandant's office, the rayon internal affairs department, fortified checkpoints -- and two intersections. Twelve policemen and servicemen were killed and 16 civilians were wounded. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
