07/25/2004: The National Liberation Army (ELN) kidnapped a Catholic Bishop of Yopal, Misael Vaca Ramirez, in Morcote, Colombia. ELN informed the church that the Bishop would be released unharmed at an unspecified time. The Bishop was released unharmed on July 27, 2004, two days after being abducted.
