Incident Summary:

07/21/2004: Suspected members of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) shot and killed Velayutham Ravindaran, a member of the Eelam People's Democratic Party (EPDP) in Akkaraipattu, Sri Lanka. Although no group claimed responsibility for the attack, the LTTE had vowed to take revenge on any person supporting the break away EPDP leader, Karuna.
