Incident Summary:

07/13/2004: Chechen rebels were blamed for a bomb that targeted Chechen President Sergei Abromov in his motorcade. After the blast, an unknown number of rebels opened fire on the President. Though he escaped unharmed, one security guard was killed and three others were injured. The bomb was made of an artillery shell modified with a remote detonator.
