Incident Summary:

05/05/2004: Two British United Nations (UN) staff members and their interpreter were killed by unknown assailants in the Mandol district of the province of Nuristan, Afghanistan. The Afghan Interior Ministry blamed the attack on militants from either the Taliban or from the Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin group, led by renegade warlord Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.
