Incident Summary:

05/10/2003: In a series of incidents, a bomb was found in a market but was safely detonated by bomb experts before it caused any damage or casualties in Koronadal City, Philippines. Abu Sulaiman, a self-proclaimed leader of the Abu Sayyaf's special operations group operating in Central Mindanao, claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the government believed the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) was responsible for the incident. While the MILF denied connection to the attack, the government arrested two MILF members, Julie Mangadta and Tayuan Dimaloloy, for questioning in connection to this incident on May 23, 2003.
