Incident Summary:

02/21/2003: Four members of an Algerian Government Armed Civil Defense Patrol unit were stopped at a fake roadblock set up by Islamic militants in Ouargla Province in southern Algeria. They were then taken by those militants, dressed in military uniforms, driven 20km into the desert, and slit their throats. The militants left after stealing a Toyota car from the guards.
