12/09/2002: Unknown perpetrators shot and killed four Indian paramilitary soldiers and wounded three others in an ambush near New Heaven village, 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of the state capital Imphal, India. A police official reported the attack could be the carried out by either the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) or some tribal Kuki perpetrators (unspecified).
