8/21/2002: Unidentified assailants shot and killed Vladimir Golovlev, a deputy, while he was walking his dog in Moscow, Central, Russia. Golovlev was also a former member of the Union of Right Forces (SPS) in the State Duma. Authorities believe that the attack was a political message.
