08/17/2002: An explosive detonated inside the Blang Padang football field in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The explosion injured 13 people among a crowd who had assembled to celebrate Indonesia's Independence Day. There was no claim of responsibility for the blast, though Indonesian military officials suspected that members of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) were behind the attack.
