Incident Summary:

08/11/2002: Three pipe bombs were placed in nationalist homes in East Belfast, Ireland. Two of the bombs, one of which did explode, were targeting pensioners’ bungalows in Strand Walk, in the Short Strand. The police defused the third device discovered in Strand Walk. No injuries were reported.
