Incident Summary:

05/11/2002: Unknown perpetrators attempted to bomb the Duomo Metro station in Milan, Italy. The attackers set fire to a 66 pound gas canister, but Metro employees were able to put out the blaze before any damage occurred to the facility. The perpetrators left a note written in both Italian and Arabic stating that they were fighting on behalf of Allah to convert all non-believers to Islam. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
