Incident Summary:

5/6/2002: Around twenty members of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Fighting (GSPC) set up a fake roadblock on National Road 43 in Timardjane, Algeria. The assailants shot and killed three individuals. Two of the victims were identified as members of the Algerian security forces. Additionally, the Islamic extremists set two vehicles on fire.
