4/3/2002: Suspected members of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) kidnapped the mayor of Cravo Norte, Arauca Department, Colombia. Mayor Ernesto Espitia was in a taxi on the way to the airport when assailants abducted him. No ransom demands were made.
