Incident Summary:

02/01/2002: A Russian soldier was killed by a land mine blast in Grozny, Chechnya, within the city's Leninsky district. The soldier was part of a convoy traveling through the city and the land mine was manually triggered by the perpetrators. No perpetrators were captured and there was no claim of responsibility, though, Chechen rebels were suspected in the attack.
