Incident Summary:

11/21/2001: Four suspected members of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) killed Leonardo Morena, the mayor of Lejanias, in Meta Department, Colombia. Morena was driving home outside of Lejanias when gunmen shot him. Specific motive is unknown; however, Lejanias lies just outside of the guerrilla-occupied demilitarized zone.
