10/28/2001: Eleven people were killed and 48 injured in a bomb attack on at the Zamboanga Puericulture Center in Zamboanga, Basilan province, the Philippines. The device appeared to be homemade, and another device was located and detonated safely. Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) was suspected of being behind the attack.
