Incident Summary:

08/23/2001: Two Hindu shepherds were killed in the village of Neel, Doda district, Kashmir by Islamic militants. A group of gunmen armed with automatic rifles and grenades attacked the village and shot dead Avtar Chand and Baghat Ram. The gunmen later fled the area with the cattle the shepherds were watching.
