Incident Summary:

08/16/2001: A Protestant man, David McDowell, was beaten to death and killed in west Belfast, Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom in an apparent sectarian attack. It was believed those responsible for the killing had tenuous links with republicans but it is thought the attack was not sanctioned by any of the mainstream organizations.
