08/14/2001: Eighteen people were kidnapped by the National Liberation Army (ELN) in Curumani, Cesar Department, Colombia. The ELN released 14 of the victims when police and army units arrived on the scene. The fate of the remaining four was not reported. No casualties were reported in connection with this incident.
