05/28/2001: Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, a leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the vice president of the Ram Janambhoomi Trust, was injured in a bomb attack in Ahilya Ghat, India, on the bank of Saryu River. Unidentified assailants hurled bombs at the group, injuring Gopal and four other members of his group. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
