04/18/2001: Chechen rebels attacked a Russian Signal Corps. convoy near Argun in the Shalinsky district of the Chechen Republic. A Russian vehicle hit a land mine, after which the Chechens proceeded to fire on the convoy. At least one soldier was killed and two wounded in the attack.
