03/03/2001: 13 people, including 11 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, were killed in an ambush by members of the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) near the town of Bampu, India as they were returning from a patrol. The rebels used both a land mines and guns in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
