Incident Summary:

1/7/2001: Approximately 20 suspected members of the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) kidnapped seven railway employees at Sindhukumar, Tripura, India. The employees were laying tracks at the time of the incident. Authorities believe that the NLFT perpetrated the incident due to the fact that they have been trying to extort money from the railway recently.
