10/12/2000: Ten oil workers were kidnapped in eastern Ecuador, then flown across the border into Colombia by guerrillas from the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC). At least fifteen gunmen ambushed the workers in the oil encampment of Tivacuno.
