09/25/2000: The Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) rebels launched three attacks that forced the suspension of pumping activities. There were no injuries reported as a report of the blasts. However, the explosions caused a thick oil spill that spread to several rivers, including the Yurumito river that feeds the Orito water plant, which supplies water to over 7,000 area residents.
