Incident Summary:

8/20/2000: T.H. Brajamani Singh, the editor of the Manipur News, was shot and killed by two unidentified assailants in Imphal, Manipur state, India. Singh had been was returning to work on his motorcycle after picking up another individual when the gunmen stopped him and shot him point blank. The other individual traveling with Singh was not injured in the attack. Singh had been receiving threats and had recently challenged those threatening him to confront him directly.
