08/03/2000: Chechen rebels bombed the residence of Isita Gayerbekova, a pro-Moscow official who was the Head of the Southern Nozhai-Yurt district's Civilian Administration in Chechnya. Gayerbekova brother was killed and her mother and sister seriously hurt. A spokesman for Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov confirmed that Chechen guerrillas were behind the bombing.
