Incident Summary:

06/30/2000: An explosive device detonated either on or near the railroad tracks of the main Belfast-Dublin line, three miles outside Newry, Northern Ireland. The railway train was halted for the day as authorities examined the damaged track. The attack was blamed on dissident republicans who opposed the peace process in Northern Ireland. No one was killed or injured in the attack.
