Incident Summary:

06/12/2000: The Kitgum Resident District Commissioner (RDC), J.B. Ochaya, was shot and seriously injured by suspected Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels in an ambush on the Gulu-Kitgum road, 2km east of Gulu, Uganda. Ochaya's body guard, a Uganda People's Defense Force (UPDF) soldier, who was also injured in the attack.
