Incident Summary:

06/07/2000: Unknown Jammu and Kashmir militants made an abortive attack on the heavily-guarded police headquarters in Srinagar, India. According to police sources, the attackers fired 8 grenades from grenade launchers at the building, but while four exploded in the air, three fell on adjoining houses and one on the road. The attack was reported to have caused only limited damage to structures and no casualties.
