6/5/2000: Members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) 47th Front set up a roadblock on a highway running between Samana and Victoria, Caldas Department, Colombia. They kidnapped nine people in a "miracle fishing" expedition, where they singled out wealthier individuals to kidnap for ransom.
