06/03/2000: A grenade was launched on the Mt. Carmel Cathedral in Jolo, Philippines. The police suspected the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) was responsible for the incident. While the cathedral was hit, police believed that the ASG aimed at the soldiers and not the cathedral. No casualties resulted from the incident.
