Incident Summary:

05/12/0004: On May 12, 2000, campaign organizer Branor Sanon was gunned down in Port-au-Prince Haiti. The gunman was unidentified and fled immediately but the head of Sanon’s Louvri Barriere Party believes that this is another example of a politically motivated murder. The killing took place less than two weeks before elections were to take place.
