Incident Summary:

05/01/2000: On May 1, 2000 Sudan’s oil export pipeline was attacked at dawn. The blast took place 18 miles north of Sinkat and was the third incident in two years. The state is blaming rebel groups for the action but there has been no official claim of responsibility for the attack but authorities linked it to the Majlis al Bahja. The pipeline was fixed and moving oil again within 24 hours.
