04/12/2000: The New People’s Army (NPA) was suspected in an ambush attack on a police patrol in Sablayan, Philippines. Two were killed and three were seriously wounded in the attack by 20 to 30 NPA rebels. A land mine was used first, followed by automatic weapons fire.
