Incident Summary:

12/18/1999: At least four persons were killed and 24 injured when a car bomb exploded, via remote control, in La Hormiga, Putumayo Department, Colombia. The attack was perpetrated the Southern Bloc of the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) headed by Milton de Jesus Toncel Redondo, alias "Usurriaga" or "Joaquin Gomez." The bomb also severely damaging a nearby hotel and bank.
