Incident Summary:
11/28/1999: A group of civilians were ambushed and shot by militants hidden in a vineyard in Oued Sly, Algieria. A civilian was killed and two others injured. The identity and motives behind this attack are in question as this attack occurred near the main military branch of the Armed Islamic Army (AIS, the military branch of the terrorist Islamic Salvation Front (FIS)), which conceivably precludes AIS or FIS involvement in the militant attacks upon the patriots.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
